Investment Objectives
The fund’s primary investment objective is to provide Partners with attractive, risk-adjusted returns, characterised by low volatility and long-term capital growth, regardless of prevailing market conditions.
Types of Strategy
Type | Description of Strategy |
---|---|
Fund-of-funds (FoF) | The fund-of-funds (FoF) strategy involves a master fund investing in a portfolio of other investment funds rather than individual securities. This multi-layered investment approach allows the FoF to diversify across various asset classes, sectors, and management styles by selecting specialized funds that align with its investment objectives. |
Cross-Border Arbitrage | This strategy seeks to identify and exploit price discrepancies in the same securities or related instruments traded on different national exchanges. The main objective of the strategy seeks to capitalize on temporary anomalies in the valuation of stocks, bonds or derivatives arising from market inefficiencies, currency fluctuations or differences in local market conditions. It is characterized by the simultaneous purchase and sale of assets in different markets to lock in risk-free profits before markets adjust prices accordingly. |
Domestic arbitrage | This strategy capitalizes on price disparities of equivalent or correlated securities within the same nation’s markets. This tactic aims to exploit transient dislocations in the valuations of equities, debt instruments, or derivatives due to inefficiencies, currency variances, or divergent local market dynamics. This approach involves the concurrent buying and selling of securities across different marketplaces to secure arbitrage gains, often regarded as risk-free profits, pending the inevitable price realignment. This form of arbitrage typically bears less risk compared to its cross-border counterpart, mainly because it sidesteps the volatility inherent in foreign exchange and the intricacies associated with international regulatory frameworks. |
